Monthly Rashan Distribution Program

At Dilshad Begum Foundation (DBF), we are committed to providing essential food support to families in need. Our Monthly Rashan Distribution Program is one of our key initiatives aimed at alleviating hunger and food insecurity in underserved communities. Every month, we distribute food packages, or rashan, to vulnerable families, ensuring they have access to nutritious and essential food items to meet their daily needs.

Our Mission

The mission of the Monthly Rashan Distribution Program is to provide reliable and consistent food assistance to individuals and families facing financial hardships. By delivering monthly food packages, we aim to reduce hunger, improve the nutritional health of families, and offer support during challenging times. Our goal is to ensure that no family goes to bed hungry.

What We Provide

Each rashan package contains a variety of staple food items that are essential for daily meals. These food packages are carefully curated to provide a balanced and nutritious selection that helps families sustain themselves throughout the month. The contents typically include:
• Rice: A staple food item that is central to most households.
• Wheat Flour: Essential for making bread and other basic foods.
• Cooking Oil: An important ingredient for preparing meals.
• Lentils and Pulses: A valuable source of protein.
• Sugar: For daily consumption and preparation of beverages.
• Tea: A common daily essential.
• Salt: A basic necessity for food preparation.
• Spices: To enhance the flavor and variety of meals.
Additionally, in some regions, we include milk, canned goods, and other seasonal items based on local needs.
